Sokumoba's official support FAQ (updated 2 July 2026) directs foreign nationals to JP SMART SIM, a separate service from the same company (CoeNova Co., Ltd.), and does not say whether Sokumoba itself accepts them.

Does Sokumoba accept applicants with a residence card and no Japanese credit history?
